Anniversary Card - Card Patterns Sketch 112

My first effort for the Card Patterns Sketch Challenge. It is my Wedding Anniversary on the 27th and thought this was my chance to participate in the Challenge.

I'm not sure how well the card will be received because I think it has turned out a little feminine and I'm not sure what my husband will think! Only time will tell.....

I incorporated a few new things that I haven't done before into this card. The first being the use of a digi stamp!  It was very easy to work with and coloured with Copics as easy as any other stamp. So I am relatively impressed with them now and have started to explore the world of digi stamps.  I love the fact that they can often be used instantly after purchase.

I also added some Baby Pink Flower Soft on the pale pink heart blossoms on the tree.  Here is a closer look at the Flower Soft

I used:
"PriscillaStyles" Heart Tree Digi stamp' and coloured with Copics,
Cuttlebug Kassies Brocade Embossing Folder,
Spellbinders Nestabilities Large Labels,
Spellbinders Shapeabilities Double Ended Tags,
Flower Soft Baby Pink,
Fiskars Edger Punch(Sorry cant recall its proper name),
Ribbon from Kaisercraft Lilac Avenue Embellishment Pack

Some Masculine Grunge

Hello again,

Here is another creation using a Tim Holtz image. I have really fallen in love with all things Tim Holtz as well as "grunge" and "Vintage" techniques. So stay tuned because I'm really hoping to produce some mini 'works of art' in that respect. Hehe! I can only try can't I?

So of course,  masculine cards are a challenge but thanks to Tim Holtz it is becoming easier.

I used:

Tim Holtz image from Stampers Anonymous Eclectic Palette,
Cuttlebug Seeing Spots Embossing Folder,
Cuttlebug die cut Stars embossing with Spots and Dots(and then I stamped the raised circles with ever faithful Memento Tuxedo Black Stamp Pad)
Cuttlebug round Tag  die
Kaszazz Mesh stamp as a background on navy cardstock.

Bird Inchies

Hello again!

Yes I know, Ive been slack and haven't uploaded any cards recently but here I am now.
My daughters have been on school holidays and trying to get near the computer has been difficult.

This first card was one I made for my sister. It was her birthday early April and I wanted to try out some inchie squares and stamps that I recently got!

I used:
Inchie Arts inchies,
Cuttlebug Birds and Swirls Embossing folder,
Cuttlebug Wavy squares,
Inkadinkado Bird Inchies,
Stampin Up sentiment and punch and
Kaisercraft Lilac Avenue Embellishment Pack

Elegant Butterfly

Ok, so here is another quick card I made for a family member. I had to make something quick and I wanted something elegant for her. Very easy and I new wanted before I began. Almost always my cards and scrapbook pages turn out completely different to what I anticipated.

The butterfly was cut with the Cuttlebug butterfly and mounted simply with a little bling!

The 'Best Wishes' is a new Hero Arts Cling sentiment which I embossed with purple embossing powder and the closest purple flower I could find in my stash - which is Kaisercraft flower.

And I really need to sort out a better background when I take photos of my work don't I?

Ooo La La - for Sophie

It was my youngest daughter's 10th birthday mid-March, and she has fallen in love with the Eiffel Tower and Paris over the past few months. As it had become somewhat of a theme for her birthday, I had to make a card as well that fit the theme.

The result was a rather stunning card that I am more than happy with.

I used a precut chipboard Eiffel Tower and inked it and then coated with the black glitter using Glossy Accents to get the glitter to stick.

The mauve background cardstock was embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots.

I stamped the love heart background pink paper and finished off with a Bella bow!

Where have I been?

Hi.
Just wanted to touch base and let you know that I'm still here (LOL)!

I have had a lot going on of-late. A few family and health issues and it has slowed me down and whilst I have been card making and scrapping, I just haven't uploaded anything. Yes, I know, shocking and slack!!

At least there will be a few things to come.

Hope everyone has been well and safe.

Clean and Simple FTL127 - I Love You

                        CAS FTL 127

So here is my Valentines Card for my husband.  And my first challenge entry as well.  I think it turned out rather well. And it is the only occasion I could get away with giving him a pink card(well mostly pink)! I also love the owl and have been waiting for an opportunity to  use it!

The image was coloured with Copics and if I haven't mentioned it already,  I am still learning how to use these and blend like a pro. Trying to make the felt button wasn't as easy as I expected. I had to use a few layers of cardstock shim to get the die to cut through the felt I had and even then it wasn't cut all the way through. I think it may have been the felt I was using.
I embossed the sentiment with red embossing powder to tie in the red button and the love heart held by the owl. The colour combination works well.

I'm sure it will be a hit on Monday! (Fingers crossed anyway) but my husband loves anything that I make him!

Here are the main items I used:

Cuttlebug :Kimmy Luvs Embossing Folder
Kaisercraft: Mini Clear Stamp Owl
Fiskars Sentiment: I love you (from Romance set)
MFT Die-namics: Button Quartet
